The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honored Vanessa Vidal as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year for her leadership in legal recruiting with this prestigious distinction. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the NAPW and data provided by third parties. As the largest, most-recognized organization of women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 400 Local Chapters. Vanessa Vidal recognized for outstanding leadership in legal recruiting is something we are very proud of at ESQ Recruiting.
Vanessa Vidal was selected in recognition of the strides she made in the legal recruiting industry, outstanding leadership, professional achievements, and for displaying the highest level of support of NAPW’s commitment to networking and community involvement. To help put that into perspective, NAPW has a member base of over 150,000 and less than .001% are considered VIP in her respective industry, so it is certainly an honor. Ms. Vidal commented, “I am honored to receive this award and to be distinguished within the organization.”
“I have spent more than a decade focusing on legal recruiting, handling some of the most selective and challenging legal talent searches on behalf of leading companies across the U.S.” says Ms. Vidal who has developed expertise in the search and placement of in-house counsels. Ms. Vidal serves as the President and Managing Director of ESQ Recruiting LLC, one of the first national legal recruiting firms in the United States to specialize exclusively in the recruitment of attorneys in-house.
Ms. Vidal’s legal recruiting firm has grown considerably over the years. The group has expanded from conducting in-house searches for general counsels and other legal professionals, to recruiting professionals in the field of compliance, risk management, and privacy. She admits the area of in-house legal recruiting she is so passionate about has traditionally been quite competitive, but that ESQ Recruiting has established itself as leader in this industry. She proudly notes that ESQ Recruiting did not only survive the economic downturn, but came out of the recession stronger than ever. “We had to innovate and demonstrate to our clients we brought real value to the recruiting process, and we were very successful in those efforts. Now that the economy has improved, we are coming in full force!” says Ms. Vidal.
NAPW provides an exclusive networking forum to successful women executives, professionals and entrepreneurs where they can aspire, connect, learn and achieve.
